This trip is a rare and unique opportunity to travel in the company of and have as our daily guide Master Liu Jianshe. We have purposely kept the size of group small so as to allow more time for qigong practice and interaction with Master Jianshe.

Jianshe’s story is fascinating; He worked for many years at the Huaxia Qigong Centre (also known as the Medicine-less Hospital) in China. He Trained with Dr Pang Ming, and eventually became Head of the Recovery Unit.

Master Jianshe has been engaged in ZQ Qigong healing and teaching since 1991. He has spread Zhineng Qigong in many cities and villages, in China as well as countries such as The Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, UK, Germany, the United States, and South Africa. In January of this year Jianshe spent two weeks at Kokolulu Farm Hawaii - Blue Sky Retreats also known as Kokolulu Farm and Cancer Retreats in Hawaii teaching and sharing.  He has witnessed many marvels of healing with his own eyes. He  feels deeply that Qigong can bring hope to humanity and harmony to the world.

For over 10 years Master Jianshe and his staff have operated the Hexianiu QiGong Centre on Hainan Island China. Jianshe is a full of laughter, happiness and is a heartfelt man.

As students of Qigong, we will start each day with a Qigong practice session led by Master Liu Jianshe.

With our daily guide and teacher Master Liu Jianshe helping us set a qi field we begin our journey in Beijing, the capital of China on September 10th.
Beijing is a city with more than 3,000 years of recorded history and a centuries-old glorious evolution. Evidence of human ancestry dating back to 700,000 years ago has been found in such places as Zhoukoudian in the southwest part of Beijing, where the remains known as 'Peking Man' were found.

We will visit one of the most remarkable feats of mankind - the Great Wall. We will practice qigong at the Temple of Heaven, visit the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and more.

We will take a modern fast train from Beijing to Hangzhou (only 6 hours).

Hangzhou is well know in the world for its beautiful West Lake. There are numerous historical sites and fascinating scenes around West Lake. We will visit the West Lake gardens with its thousands of fragrant lotus blossoms and picturesque beauty. Next on our list is a visit to Hefang street, famous for its night market full of art hawkers, candy sculptors, pillow shops, caricaturists, old-fashioned movie players, storytellers, bonsai shops, ancient teahouses, and an array of small eateries, making Hefang Street charmingly lively.

Not to be missed, our visit will include Lingyin Temple that is without doubt a premier showpiece in the West Lake environs and is notable also as one of the ten most famous Buddhist temples of China. In 1961 it was listed for protection as a key provincial historical and cultural site and is considered a leading centre for research relative to Chinese Buddhist culture.

We will fly from Hangzhou to Haikou airport on Hainan Island, where will be staying at the world famous Hexianju Qigong Centre nestled in the coconut forest on a large lake near the ocean for 8 days.

The new facilities were completed in the fall of 2012. The Hexianju Qigong Centre is just like being in a big happy family composed of students from China and around the world. The centre is working to enhance good health and long life; harmony and self-control; freedom and consciousness; in a welcoming environment providing equality for all. Within this naturally formed qi field, which is full of harmony, happiness and vitality. People who spend time in the centre's qi field find their body and mind changing effortlessly.

The food at the centre is wonderful and freshly cooked each day from the centre's Chef Bai and his staff.

The entire staff at the Hexianju Qigong Centre walk their talk living and practicing qigong every day.

We will be spending several days touring Hainan Island visiting various sites like Xinglong Town and the natural hot springs - famed for the healing effects of its rich natural mineral waters, meeting and practicing  with local qigong friends and drinking the world renowned Hainan coffee.

With a renewed sense of purpose, our spirits raised, and our health and bodies renewed we bide farewell (for now) to China and our new qigong friends on September 30 leaving from Haikou airport. If you have time and interest you can easily travel from Haikou to Vietnam, Laos, Hong Kong, or to the South of Mainland China before returning home.
